At times slightly dark - the film does leave you feeling 'better' and wanting more. Bell's raw vulnerability in character coupled to the occasional flash of a heart-melting smile completely draw you in. His naked ambition to show all of his talent is very much evident and if you can suspend some disbelief and enjoy the more realistic - you will enjoy the film. The acting is decent with most of it being done in a sort of sign language (don't worry there are subtitles), the set designs are great, and the practical and makeup effects are pretty impressive. I also have to give props for the animal training in this movie, those actors or stunt doubles had some b@lls to play fight with musk ox and a FREAKING BEAR! This movie is prehistoric 80's cheese with some actual heart, and I'm glad to see this again after so many years! I am still disappointed that there weren't any dinosaurs in it, but of course The Flintstones lied to us. No obstante, Jafar decide liberarlos porque les necesita para entrar en la Cueva de las Maravillas. Cuando llegan allí, se encuentran con una alfombra mágica y posteriormente descubren la lámpara, hasta que la cueva empieza a colapsar tras el intento de Abu de robar una joya. En ese momento, Jafar intenta coger el candil, pero el mono acaba robándosela. Es así que Aladdín, Abu y la alfombra no consiguen escapar, cuando el protagonista inconscientemente frota la lámpara y aparece el Genio, que está dispuesto a concederle tres deseos, aunque consigue engañarle para que les saque del lugar sin gastar ninguno.
