Kurt Cobain Montage Of Heck Ita

The bass player, sitting in an elegant suburban home, interviewed decades after the events in question, looking poleaxed 'When you go back and read the lyrics it's like... how could we miss it? ' And that's it. That subject has been dealt with. It's not repeated, no one else broaches it. That's the last scene where he has objectivity. Alone, as an adult. With a LOT of work (he started playing guitar frequently and seriously as a child, insisted his band practice 5 times a week when they were supposed to be nihilistic post-punk whatevers and he was working as a janitor) - Cobain created some fantastic stuff. He was still creating fantastic stuff up to the end... though his imminent end was becoming the focus too. The lyrics sheet, the raw lyric sheet, for "All Apologies" is incredibly telling. Great lines, incredibly evocative lines, pivots that I've never seen anyone else make in two sentences... scratched out. Tossed away. And between the cuts the lyrics to the final song. Comprehensible for the first time to me.
