"Far From Home" has a lot more boxes to check than "Homecoming" in terms of storytelling, and while it's always enjoyable, the film feels unfocused in parts. Everything changes when a major turn happens – of the story-exploding, can't-talk-about-it-at-all variety – and the last half takes on a very meta vibe with some of the craziest visuals Marvel has unleashed in a while and a stellar understanding of what Gyllenhaal can do so well on screen. With quirky references (get ready for an unexpectedly awesome Whitney Houston needle drop) and plenty of big-time "Avengers"-style fights leveled at the main kiddo, the new "Spider-Man" definitely feels to fans like coming "Home. Le figure di sacerdote che compaiono nel film corrispondono ad incontri effettivi vissuti dai due ragazzi. Detto ciò va rilevato come Duguay abbia mutato il punto di vista. Lo sguardo è sempre quello di Joffo ma non dell'adulto che descrive quanto accaduto nel passato. Lo spettatore è posizionato a fianco dei due fratelli che vivono come bambini la tragedia che sta loro intorno. Le biglie divengono così il simbolo di un'infanzia che viene messa alla prova ma finiscono anche con il rappresentare quella vita in famiglia a cui i due fratelli sperano di tornare. Lo sguardo culturalmente 'distante' (Duguay è canadese) favorisce poi una rilettura delle vicende che segue una schema noto ma lo depura da qualsiasi accento di retorica consentendo alle vicende vissute dai due fratelli di 'arrivare' alle nuove generazioni senza che queste se ne distanzino pregiudizialmente in quanto 'già viste' o comunque 'old style'. Perché questo è in definitiva il motivo per cui già nel 1973 Joffo dava alle stampe le sue memorie sotto forma di romanzo.
Number 1 on the list............... It's Okay to Not be Okay Prior to watching, i thought this would just be an overhyped drama with a power couple but the drama proved me otherwise. For me, it definitely lived up to the hype with such an interesting concept, well thought of characters, and great storyline. The three characters complemented eachother really well, being able to complete eachother's insecurities and imperfections. It also shows the struggles of mentally challenged people go through and how the hospital supports/ rehabilitates these kinds of people. In addition, the three main characters have different traumas which they slowly resolve in the drama. There are many hearbreaks, realizations, happy moments, and redemption. If you haven't seen this drama, well, you should. It's definitely something you shouldn't miss out on.
