Nicholas Rowe is perfect as Holmes and it has a cracking story. According to insiders Spielberg did want to make a series of Young Sherlock Holmes films but Rowe turned it down for University commitments, such a shame as the biggest film I've seen him in since is the posh, drug dealer in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Even now at the age of 50 Rowe still looks like the quintessential Holmes that Conan Doyle envisaged.
